About the Artists

JIA XIAOCHENG, Associate professor of Violin at Shenyang Conservatory of Music in China. A prizewinner of national violin competitions, Xiaocheng has performed as a soloist with many famed orchestras in United States, South Korea and China, and has given recitals in Singapore and Malaysia. She is also active in chamber music performances and has collaborated with many outstanding musicians from United States and China. Xiaocheng has studied at Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing for nine years before receiving her Bachelor’s (2002) and master’s (2004) degrees in Violin Performance from the Shenyang Conservatory of Music.

Dr. Brian T. Kilp joined the faculty of Indiana State University in 1998 where he is Professor of Music/Horn and member of the ISU Faculty Brass and Woodwind Quintets. Brian has presented master classes and performed In Vladivostok, Russian Federation, at several Conservatories in P.R. China Thailand and Taiwan. In 2012 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate at Rajabhat University Maha Sarakham University, and in 2010, was awarded an Honorary Doctorate at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, and has been Visiting Guest Professor at the Shenyang Conservatory, Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University, and the Shenyang and Dalian Conservatories of Music.

Patommavat Thammachard (Note) Guitarist is from Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand. He is currently a graduate student at Indiana State University, pursuing a Music Master of Music in Performance. He studies guitar with Dr. Brent McPike. Note is the recipient of an ISU Foundation Scholarship a ISU School of Music Scholarship.Note won first prize in the Thailand Yamaha Acoustic Guitar Competition in 2010 and was also a winner prize in the Bangkok International Classical Guitar Competition in 2010

Parita Karnjananonkul ,Piano. A senior year student at Chulalongkorn University Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts where she studied with Prof. Tongsuang Israngkul Na Ayuthaya . She also teaches at Siam Ratchada Music School . She was also a former winner of Yamaha Thailand Music Festival
